About Me
Hi, I'm Marcel. I'm a Software and Game Developer based in Lucerne Switzerland. This summer I'm graduating from Lucerne University of Applied Science with a bachelor degree in Digital Ideation. Besides having professional experience in Java and Flutter, I've mainly focused on learning game development during my time in university. My engine of choice is the Godot engine.
Projects

Domain of Hallucination is a roguelite inspired by games like Vampire Survivors. This was my final project in university. In it, I focused on designing and building a meta-progression system.

Divinactics is the vertical slice of a chess-like tactical trading card game created in a mentorship program at HSLU. I was responsible for implementing the server and large parts of the client.

With Rest in Somnia, we built a creature collector game inspired by Pokémon Nuzlocke runs. I was part of the design and implementation process of gameplay and worldbuilding.

Loutopia is a creature collector action game where creatures grant you their abilities during combat and exploration. This was the first larger game project I did thus taught me a lot about working with Unity and in a slightly larger team.

This project was the precursor for my bachelor project. It is a prototype of the combat and map building mechanics of Domain of Hallucination. This version of the game can still be played on itch and shows the growth process of the product.

Cycles of Eclyvion is an experimental project about procedural generation of ascii art maps. While developing the project I learned the Go programming language and a lot about starting over.

A short animation about a scientist landing on the planet Eris for the first time. The animation was created in Cinema 4D.

Archino is a game about a dinosaur, tasked with finding human bones for the human bones’ exhibition. The game features a unique flat art style.

UX design for a project showcase website for our university. The project helped me develop a better understanding of user experience.
